Music Moodboard by Steve
I initially researched different pieces of music in order to evoke different emotions. For a fast-paced mood, acts such as the Prodigy or Rage Against The Machine would have been perfect. In the end, however, we wanted to keep a sense of British melancholy and use something that would be slower, simpler and more complementary.
As Audio Producer, I was left with a number of options with this in mind. Whole bands, such as the Mars Volta, would have given an overly cluttered soundscape. Additionally, this song in particular would create an uneasy mood, which was not desired.
The Mars Volta's Son et Lumiere
A song by a singer-songwriter (such as Bon Ivor or The Tallest Man on Earth) would create a more effective downbeat mood, but the reliance on lyrics would leave little to the audience's imagination.
The Tallest Man on Earth's Where do my Bluebirds fly?
I was left with the simplest option, using a classical composer. The best for a despondent mood is Italian composer Ludovico Einaudi, who incidentally wrote all the music for This Is England. I chose an early work, Nefeli, which has a prominent melody line and will therefore complement the silence of the trailers.

Marketing & Funding
Tuesday, 7 July 2009We are planning to market the film as a certificate 12A as we feel this would attract a large audience and wouldnt restrict the target market.
Our three teaser trailers have been influenced by the style of the Cloverfeild marketing campaign. We plan for the first of these trailers to reveal very little about the actual film, in order to intrigue the audience and gain their interest.

Editing Moodboard by Ben
Slow fades are vital to the first of our trailers to how the passing of time . I got this idea for the Godfather. In the first scene I am thinking about using a colour filters to portray the changes in mood and shows that it is changing for the worst .
I am most probably going to be using mostly jump cuts to make the trailers seem fast moving and keep the veiwer engaged for the duration of the trailers .
